With assisted living efforts, many people find that they are able to live in their own homes. They continue to be independent in many areas of their life, and that makes them feel very good. There are people that need some help though to make it possible for them to live on their own. For example, they may need help with their personal hygiene or with preparing meals.
There are many levels of care offered by Health Care, and they are designed to fit the needs of the individual. Those needs may change over time, and as they do, the plan of action will be modified so that they always get the top level of care. There are those individuals that need assisted living care for a short period of time. They may have a health concern or be recovering from surgery.
Perhaps they need help with shopping for groceries and preparing food. They may need help bathing, changing their dressing, and doing the housework. These areas of help can easily be provided by our staff for as long as someone needs them.
There can be times when a mental or physical limitation requires someone to have daily help with certain activities. If that is the case, Health Care can ensure that they are getting those needs met. The individual is often able to take care of many other needs on their own.
There are times when the assisted living benefits from Health Care are needed to give someone else a well deserved break. A caregiver may need to take some time off, and we can step into that role for them during that period of time. We can check in on someone during the day or even stay with them at night. The goal is to ensure that the individual gets the high level of care they need, even when their normal caregiver can’t be there all the time.
